　ガレの工房で制作された「やつで」をモチーフにした作品は数多く制作されたものの、本作品のように花が表現されることは数少ない。花によって華やかで若々しい雰囲気も堪能できるのが、この作品の特異とする点であろう。
　ガレが1900年のパリ万博でも成功を収めた後、ほどなくして1904年にこの世を去ったとき、ガレのガラス工房は、画家のヴィクトール・プルーヴェらにより経営は続けられた。
　1914年から始まった第一次世界大戦に、工房は一時閉鎖。1918年には再開されたが、後に盛り上がってくるアールデコのスタイルへの変革の波に乗れず、1931年、ガラス工場の会社は解散することとなった。

Galle’s studio produced many pieces with the motif of Fatsia japonica. Nevertheless, there are very few with flowers expressed like in this piece. The unique point of this work is that it is also possible to savor the brilliant and youthful atmosphere from the flowers.
Galle passed away in 1904 shortly after achieving success at the Paris Expo in 1900. At that time, Galle’s studio continued to be run by the painter Victor Prouve and others.
The studio was temporarily closed during the First World War that started in 1914. It reopened in 1918. However, it was unable to ride the wave of change to the art deco style that rose up later. The glass studio company dissolved in 1931.
