The violet color representing the back of the petals and leaves is beautiful. Furthermore, there is an exquisite balance between the pink sky of the ground and the violet color earth. Those looking at this piece will never tire of it.
The artist uses three colors with completely different tendencies – dark green, violet and pink. He skillfully uses them for different purposes. This allows him to beautifully form the flowers that show their faces from the ground to express them splendidly.
Galle patented some of his techniques. These include the patine technique which produces a cloudy effect like rusted metal by mixing oxides that promote corrosion into the glass material or by painting them on the surface. Another is the marquetry technique in which colored glass that has been thinned in advance is welded while pressure is applied to the glass material.
