当館コレクションを俯瞰すると、実に様々な「富士」が並んでいる。この「箱根の朱富士」は、その画面の小ささから他にはない宝石を愛でるような魅力があり、見るものをその小さな画面に引き込んでいく。
田崎広助は、1898年（明治31年）現在の福岡県八女(やめ)市生まれ。坂本繁二郎、安井曾太郎に師事にしながら、1932年（昭和7年）にフランス・パリに渡り、作品を発表してサロン・ドートンヌ賞を受賞。しかし、作者はかえって「東洋の心」が大切であることを痛感する。
50歳半ば、力強く、色彩豊かな造形で山塊を描くスタイルを築いてからは、86歳でその生涯を閉じるまで、存在感のある山々の作品を生み出し続けた。
Taking a bird’s eye view of the museum’s collection reveals a diverse range of Mt. Fuji pictures lined up. The Red Fuji of Hakone has an attraction that resembles a love of jewels like no other because of its small size. What you see draws you into that small painting.
Hirosuke Tasaki was born in what is now called Yame, Fukuoka Prefecture in 1898. While studying under Hanjiro Sakamoto and Sotaro Yasui, he went to Paris, France in 1932, he unveiled his pieces there and received the Salon d'Automne. However, the artist was keenly aware of the importance of an oriental heart.
He built a style of drawing mountain masses with powerful and colorful shapes in his mid-50s. He then continued to produced pieces of mountains with a sense of presence until he passed away at the age of 86.
